Crosby Malkin in a duet?

So the thought of my last blog made me a little sad so I decided to also tell you guys about a future scene in my novel that is decidedly more entertaining and humourous.

hen I was driving back from Guelph on Friday I was bouncing ideas in my head about how I was going to incorporate some other people’s characters into my book. I got stuck on Indigo’s characters because for whatever reason I could not connect why Seth or her friends would ever meet Marcus.

Then I thought of King Lightning and what that would mean to a hockey person. Obviously it would be someone who would star with the Lightning. The best Lightning ever is and probably will be Vinny Lecavalier. So I thought it would be fun if Marcus was told to meet King Lightning in Pittsburgh thinking that Vincent Lecavalier would be the person to meet.

He’s going to get very confused about why he has to go to Pittsburgh for it though. Anyway, he meets up with Vinny who has no idea who what the heck he is talking about when Evengi Malkin and Sidney Crosby walk by. By chance they hear him talk about King Lightning and they say they know of a King Lightning and they are off to go watch her dance.

Marcus will be confused but will go along for the fun of it because who wouldn’t want to go hang out with Sid the Kid and Geno? It may even lead somewhere. The best part about this scene is that Crosby and Malkin do a duet together under the stage names Sidneyloo Who and I dream of Geno. Thanks to Katie and Sam for coming up with their dancing names.

If someone wants to contribute the name of the place they dance at (Jackie's Place is already taken and in London), that would be awesome or if you think you can come up with better names lets hear them and maybe they can be used.
